Finally got the email 4 weeks after sending supporting documents

Dear ######,

Regarding Visa Application: ######
For: #######

Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer........

Same got mines after a month too which I thought was odd,Friday makes the 30 days so let’s see what happens.
Hopefully it was just the holidays that delayed it
Received an email today requesting additional documents as they were assessing the application .
Did you write priority service on the bundle? Im reading that its important to write priority on the envelope or they wont know that its priority..

Such a stressful time for my family
My partner did his biometrics appointment 26/7/18
Email: currently waiting on a decision from a clearance officer that was on 13/8/18
And no word since mp has try to escalate the case so far no luck I had him involve before application was submitted and solicitor are son is going for operation 20th this month and I don't have my partner with me for support for me and are son
they really don't give a damn I'm so upset by this service it really needs to get improving I'm upset for other ppl posts I've read on here also it's so unfair!!! I wish you all fast response!!!

It was just standard service as it would only be a 6month visa and we will apply to extend when he is here we where expecting a decision within 15days but still waiting I wish paid for priority now but I'm not really sure it would've made any difference after what I've read on here so far, are youngest is coming 8 months and still not met his daddy 😓

You were anticipating 15 days for a decision? Which visa and which country did the applicant apply from?

We applied from Algeria
Finacè Visa. I think we're going have long wait like everyone else  my mp keeps saying he'll keep in contact with home office till reach a decision but I'm not holding my breath seems other's have been waiting much longer than me even on priority is a joke hope these ppl get a refund!!! I thought when I got the email on the 13th August stating the application is now been assessed by a clearance officer that would've had decision by now :/

It's a shame - I hope you have other family members to support you through this operation

@MizzTracy89 My situation is am a really boring guy with no life who spends far too much time on this forum trying to help others if I could.

I would push the MP to get through to home office, but be warned having a operation may not necessarily constitute to a mitigating circumstance as they may just say the kid and you have other families in UK to support him through it.

Was there anything in your application that wasn't straightforward which may explain the delay?

@Londoner007 Not boring at all in fact that is very kind of you thank you I appreciate it :)

I have attempted to push them with no response it's ever so frustrating I don't really have support both my parents have past away and I only have my older sister who is struggling with 3 kids of her own and other personal issues so I have no hope of any support through this she will look after my baby while I sit at hospital alone with my other son through his operation

In my opinion the only person that can possibly push this application at this stage is the MP so keep at phoning emailing their secretary.

I have e-mail the mp again he'll probably be sick of me by now  what I don't understand is on the tracker it shows all the ticks been transferred for a decision then next tick says received by the UKVI I'm little confused by that and don't understand how it went from transferred for a decision to received by the ukvi? Any idea?

No idea, but I can tell you the HomeOffice system is not the most up to date or reliable in terms of giving real meaningful information of the application progress. I would keep to hasselling the MP.

It was 2nd application...1st one was refused due to financial requirement...i did recieve not straight forward email in march but i dont know why that was or why they've took soo long to make a decision....maybe bcoz I've been refused before...i was starting to get very worried but a long wait doesn't necessarily mean the visa will be refused or theres a problem

Reading a lot of the posts on here I don't know whether to feel comforted or disheartened :|

I'm waiting on a decision for a settlement visa for my wife. It's been over 6 months since the application was submitted.

My timeline is:

Online application - 09/02/18
Biometrics - 19/02/18
Documents returned - 04/04/18
Request for additional info - 04/05/18
Email stating not a straightforward case - 08/05/18
Final Stages Email - 26/07/18

I did use a solicitor to submit the application.

I've tried to be patient but the length of time has meant that I've emailed once and called twice to get an update on the application. That's not really yielded a worthwhile response so my plan now is to just wait for a positive reply Insha'Allah.

My prayers and best wishes for all of you in similar situations
Hello, hope your well have you received any decision yet? I am still waiting biometric were done same as you 19-feb-2018
