ILR Documents needed. (Ancestry)

Post by Jayrose17 » Fri May 11, 2018 2:58 pm

Hi everyone
I have copies of my mum's birth certificate and grandmothers and also great grandmother who is British also.
Do I need to submit my mum's marriage certificate too?
I have SA 302'S. MUST I just do declaraty letter stating I will continue to be self employed in my chosen work?
Lastly should I use a company to assist me with this??? It looks pretty strait forward through ancestry and 750 quid is lot to fill in the form for me seen I am providing all the evidence etc..
Thanks :D

Lengthy topic on this below with ILR success. Read through and post if you have further questions.

Qualifying period 5 years

Post by Jayrose17 » Wed Sep 26, 2018 4:09 pm

Please advise..
I read in one of the gov documents that your qualifying period starts from date your ancestral visa was granted. Any period taken between then and arriving in the UK can count towards the maximum of 180 days out of country per 12 month period.
Therefore my approved visa was 15th January and I arrived 1st February.
So I can apply for my premium visa ILR application 28 days before January the 15th. Although only arriving on the 1st February.
Anyone else read this peace of legislation?
Thanks

Date of visa issued is the start date of your qualifying period.

Thank you.
Due to do premium service from 19th December.
Decided to do application myself.
Seems pretty straightforward for ancestry.
Thanks.
