Tier 1 General Dependant extension

Post by bips » Tue Nov 06, 2018 10:52 pm

Hi Friends, Request your help and guidance on this.

I am an ILR holder through Tier 1 General and I need to extend my dependant's visa before January ( They will be eligible for ILR only on June 2019 due to a break that pushed them to 5 year route) . I couldn't find the application form for Tier 1 general dependant and someone told me to use FLR form , but I am aware that will reset my dependants period of stay and they need to start again . when I called the number on gov.uk site, they were reluctant to help and requested me to tell them which form I need and they will locate it on the site. But wouldn't take Tier 1 general dependant as an input.

Just observed a post by moderator on new service centres , would I be able to apply online using the new service launching on 9th November ( Application for extending the Tier 1 general dependant visa) . Should it be my wife applying to extend her visa ?. In that case , would my bank statements suffice as a proof for maintenance ?
Many thanks for your kind consideration.
Regards,
Bips

Your wife is the applicant so yes she applies not you.

Your bank statements for 90 days maintenance funds is fine.

Topics merged!!!

And already answered and links to online form provided!!! There is no paper form.

If you apply on FLR M it will reset her clock for ILR to zero and she will have to wait another 5 years before she can apply for ILR.

Hi Many thanks for your reply. I ran in to another trouble while applying. My dependants will be eligible for ILR in July 2019. However when I fill the IHS details , it is asking me to pay 2600 as IHS for both taking my ILR expiry date which is 2024. Do I need to pay 2600 when both dependants become eligible for ILR in July 2019. If I don't need to , then how do i bypass this as I couldn't see any option online to complete the application without paying this amount.

Please help.

Regards,
Bipin

Put your ILR expiry date as 3 years ahead not 2024. You must pay £600 per dependent applying, there is no way to pay a lesser amount as the visa extension will be for 3 years.
