does anyone know dor appeal how long take time
or its better to appky again uf yiur case get refused
Hi Afshin; what was the reason of your refusal?

I think re-applying is the best option if you can afford it. According to my research appeal can take upto 12 months.
the reason just they don’t believe i work in the this place i work now

As I follow this thread quite often and I've seen recent discussions about involving MP, just wanted to share about our experience with that so far.
I wrote to the MP by sending him a letter last week. The main point I was trying to make in my letter aside from the obvious delay with our application was the injustice that UKVI are not meeting their customer service target times and there is no date given as to when a decision might be made and that we the applicants and sponsors are left helpless, all we can do is escalate and re-escalate every 3 weeks! (which is almost a month every time)! I think this is a super messed up system.
I received a response from the MP's assistant saying that she'd been in touch with UKVI regarding our application and that, as they keep saying to us on our numerous phone calls, 'checks are still being made'... No actual reason being given as to why the checks are taking so long though. And no comment was made regarding my point about how the system works (about having to escalate again and again with no real purpose to it).

Anyway, just wanted to share our current situation as it can help knowing even if just a little that other people are going through the same thing, I know for me personally, I feel a little less alone when I follow people's comments on this thread.
Dear Thelugi,

You applied in July and already have become frustrated. I am waiting for almost a year now. My biometric date is 31 Dec 2017. I like that atleast you talked about the bloody messed up system of UKVI. I feel that you are lucky that you applied from India. UKVI specially discriminates Pakistani and Bangladeshis. I feel so infuriated sometimes that I have told my husband that I don't want to go to such a country where they do not punish burglers but gives pain to innocent people and children who wants to reunite with their families.

we are waiting since May (Bio metric was on 8th May India) and escalated 7 times (always received the generic email by stating we don't have any timescale on your application but we are working on it), involved MP (and he has also got the same response by stating no timescale on our application)

We stopped doing the tracking of no of business days, escalations etc etc.. other than going through this forum... :) :) :)

Hello everyone, I thought I would share my visa application experience with you,as I have read through these forums while I was waiting for mine. I hope that this post will give people some hope and faith in the visa process.

I am a British citizen my wife is russian we married in Cyprus on 18th January 2018
We got engaged on the 16th sept 2017

Applied for spouse visa 12th sept 2018
Biometrics done in Moscow 13th sept 2018
Documents sent and received by home office 14th sept 2018
(Non priority) due to having a tourist visa rejected
We were advised by a immigration solicitor not to go priority as it would waste £500

Decision made 7th nov 2018
Passport ready 7th nov 2018
Passport collected 8th nov 2018
Visa granted.

This was a none priority visa and only took 8-9 weeks very happy with how the home office proccesed it so quickly.

My advise to anyone applying is send all your whatsapp conversation, video calls everything they want from you, you give them and more.

Never lie or try to hide anything from them as this will lead to a not straightforward email!
Which will then make the process even longer.
And may result in them phoning you and your place of Work to make sure you are not a complete fraud!

We had a tourist visa rejected we made sure we told them of this so as not to hide anything.

I used a very good solicitor which cost a lot of money and so did the visa. But love is worth more than silver or gold!
So good luck people with you’re applications
If you want to ask anything I will reply with an honest answer
Hi Badger 7, great news on your application, can I ask if all the supporting documentation was sent by yourself to Sheffield for your Wifes application or was it processed in Moscow at the time of the Biometrics? We are planning on my wife's application and Biometrics for January and wanted to know the best way of sending us sending supporting info. Thanks in advance

Yes I feel your pain, the sadness we bring to ourselves by thinking on this over and over overwhelms us. However, there is nothing that will stop us from being united with our loved ones so we just have to wait. My uncle had been trying to bring his wife for 5 years and the UK immigration didn't allow him. He went through much tribulations but through surinder singh route he has been united with his wife.

Hi,
Visa Type: Spouse Visa
Application from: Shanghai, China
Non-priority
Biometrics: 23rd June 2018
Post all supporting documents to Sheffield: 12th July 2018
Received all documents back: 12th Aug 2018
Received email our case is not straightforward: 18th Sep
Escalated to MP: 6th November

Decision: not yet

We have been waiting for more than 5 months and I have seen a couple of you in the forum have been waited even longer. I am a sole trader and I file my tax return. I am wondering whether this is the reason for the hold-up.

I am wondering for those that have waited for a long time, you are also self-employed? or run your own business?

Unfortunately, there is no maximum waiting time as this is a settlement visa, they can take their time.
I applied around the same time as you and I am waiting along with few other people who applied around this time.
I am wondering whether your sponsor is self-employed or working full time for a company
Good luck

I'm working at my dad's company part time but I have a disabled daughter and I applied in January. But over a month ago they emailed saying they have made a decision and my husband passport had expired so he got that back to make a new one and he gave in his new passport about a month ago and we have still not had it back since then. It shouldn't take this long as decision is made so don't know wat is happening now

Home office is very slow to respond to anything. My friend lost her visa card in the UK and it took 7 months to get a replacement from Home office.
Just keep chasing them, you shall have them back soon
