Absence Details for ILR

Post by MissionPossible » Sat Jan 05, 2019 10:37 pm

Background:
I've been on Tier 2 General since Sep 2013 ( 5 year 4 months) and applying for ILR this month.

Doubt:
  • When mentioning Out of UK Absences for Set 0 and also for employer absence confirmation letter - do I need to mention the the absences for entire 5 year 4 months period OR will absences ONLY for 5 year would suffice ? Reason I ask this - I'm inclined to go for 5 year period and want to confirm if that's OK.
  • When mentioning the reason of absence in Set O - It's mentioned as holidays.
And when mentioning the reason of absence in Employer - its mentioned as 'Annual Leave' and 'Maternity Leave'
Do you think there is an issue with difference in reason and actual language ( i.e. instead of 'Annual Paid Leave' - its mentioned as 'Annual Leave') ?

The last 5 years is enough

No issues

Address of Home Office for Absence and Employment Letters

Post by MissionPossible » Mon Jan 07, 2019 9:00 pm

Gurus,

Background: My employer is NOT inclined to generate a letter with 'TO WHOM SO IT MAY CONCERN' and wants only to generate the 2 mandatory employer letters for ILR addressed to Home Office.

Doubt: Can someone provide the address of Home Office that the employer has to mention at top of these letters ?

For some reason my employer is asking for official address of Home Office that they can put on these letters.

Can someone provide any official address of Home Office to which employer can generate these letters to ?

Why not use the one stated in the Set O paper form and guidance notes

Update on ILR application: I used the before mentioned address for employer letters and have successfully got the ILR.

As mentioned by experts on this forum - you don't even need to put even an address and can simply get away with 'TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN'. Having said that, for cases where employers are a bit weird and need an actual address that they want to put on letters - as per my experience, using the address that I mentioned in my previous posts shall work fine.

Cheers.
