Advise filling up MN1 Form

Post by PRAS499 » Sat Jan 26, 2019 7:02 pm

Dear Sir/Madam,

I need some help in regards to the filling up MN1 form for my Step Daughter.
I am applying for a naturalization for both my wife and daughter.
I am little confused about which section i need to apply under for my daughter.
My Wife and daughter came to UK on a spoise visa and has Indefinate leave to remain currently.
I am a British passport holder aquired by naturalization. (I was born abroad)
I am not sure if i need to apply under Section 3 (2) or Section 3 (5).
And also if i need to fill section 3 on the Form or no.

Please Kindly advise.

Thanks.

These sections are NOT relevant to step children. Your British status has no relevance to children who are not your own. She applies under section 3(1) of the nationality act, which is at the HO's discretion. Her application will only succeed if her mothers application succeeds.
And also if i need to fill section 3 on the Form or no.
No.
