Hi All,
I was charged for driving on 50mph speed on a 40mph temporary speed limit on motorway in November 2013, I was driving company's car so the first NIP came to office's address to which my details were filed and sent back to police. Then I never received any paperwork from police at my address despite chasing them repeatedly on email through office secretary. After several months gone past, I received court summons in July 2014 that I failed to provide driver's info and I need to attend the court.
I pleaded not guilty to the charge of 'failure to provide driver's info' as I sent the info in first NIP and never received more paperwork from police despite chasing on emails and calls and by then received summons from court so had to attend the court in September 2013, there I showed to the judge all the communications I made with police to chase paperwork, so the prosecutor dropped that charge of failure to provide info, but asked me if I plead guilty to speeding which I never denied at the first place. Court didn't charge me anything extra but asked me to pay the original fine (for which I never received paperwork) of £60 and 3 points. However, when I received my court verdict it showed breakdown of that £60 into £20 pound victim charge and £40 police fine. On my driving license counterpart of that time it was also shown 3 points, £40 pound fine instead of £60. Sorry for the long story but had to mention it to be able to ask below questions.
Now my questions are,
A) Since this is 2019 now and those points are expired and removed, do I still need to mention this whole story in my naturalisation application section 3?, OR, just mention speeding offence SP30, 3 points and £40 fine which is how it was shown on driving counterpart. OR, £60 fine as that's what I paid to the court.
B) Do I need to mention this conviction at all on my naturalisation application as it is already more than 4 years now and points are removed from DVLA website if I check my license details on it. What I read on different websites of lawyers is you only need to show 'unspent' sentence and not 'spent'. However, I have no problems in mentioning this but I am confused whether to write £40 for fine or £60 and whether this would affect the outcome.
C) Tax reference number under employment section in application form is supposed to be PAYE reference number for people in permanent employment, am I right?
