Hi there, we are in the process of applying for my wife's British Citizenship on the 3 year route after being granted ILR. We have applied online and have an appointment at the new ICVSA centre on Friday and are just uploading the docs required. We have followed the document checklist provided and it mentions nothing about proof of NI Contributions - we also review the AN Guide and that doesn't either. However, having been burned before we also checked the Postal Application Form and there in Section 10 it says about providing proof of NI Contributions. Does anyone know if this is actually required or is it just a legacy requirement they forgot to take out of the postal application form?

Were you required to provide the NI number during the online application? Then there is nothing further to be provided, UKVI can look it up. But NI contributions (economic activity) as such are not a requirement for naturalisation.
