Citizhenship - absence in five years or the year since i came?

Post by PRcometrue » Sun Feb 03, 2019 10:43 am

Hello all, a question from the citizenship application.

- In the form - when you first came to the UK. I put 2007 actual year, or it should be 2014 for the first day of five years.

- For the absence days, I only gave the recent five years 2014-2019. Not since 2007. Are these right?

- I didn't get stamp on my passport when I came back to the UK from Ireland in 2014 January, since it's common travel zone, no passport required.

I only have bank statement of 2014 and flight booking information plus an unclear copy of boarding pass, but I lost the physical. if It's enough to be proof? instead of The missing stamp, which is to proof the first day of five years period.

I don't have or any government official letter unfortunately.

I'd really appreciate your help!

Your arrival date is the day you arrive in the UK, not the start date of the 5 year qualifying period.

You need to give all absences during that qualifying period. So assuming you submit the application the application on the 3rd of February 2019, you need to give all absences since February 3rd 2014 (note that you must physically have been in the UK on the start of the 5 year qualifying period (February 3rd 2014).
