Change Ceremony Location

Post by Nerazzuri » Mon Feb 04, 2019 8:27 am

Westminster Council say their next public appointment isn't till April, and there are no private appointments for almost a month. Is it possible to have Home Office change the council I go to for the ceremony? If so, how do I go about doing that.

It is a lengthy process. You have to inform HO and the council. The council then has to return your certificate to HO and they will then send it to another council. It takes a while.

Will likely be quicker to book the private ceremony they have available.

If you choose to go through this process, you might want to try Croydon. I got an appointment today for next week. It might be pure luck or they might have ceremonies frequently.

OP was referring to the citizenship ceremony - your post is about UKVCAS appointment??
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Nobody mentioned UKVCAS. I am responding to the OP’s question about the citizenship ceremony.
