Travelling whilst travelling

Post by ash28469 » Sun Jan 13, 2019 7:39 pm

Hi,

I am filling out my ILR application under Set(O) currently in the section detailing any time spent outside the UK "Which countries did you visit or travel through when absent from the UK and Crown Dependencies?".

In my situation I have had travel where I flew from UK to Greece, spent the night in Athens then flew to Jordan the next day, stayed for a week, flew back to Greece and then back to the UK.

Another instance where I travelled from the UK to Greece and then came back to the UK from Spain.

Where is the best place to detail this information? Would this be best suited under the "What was the reason for this time spent outside the UK and Crown Dependencies?" or would I list each trip as separate leave?

It wouldn't really make sense to list them as separate leave as I did not travel back to the UK in between, but thought I should check as this may be compared to passport electronic logs?

Your help, thoughts and comments are appreciated.

Thank you.

ILR- UK Absence AlternateProof in absence of Employer letter

Post by ash28469 » Tue Feb 05, 2019 8:08 pm

Hi all,

I have a similar issue and hoping for some guidance. My ILR application will hopefully be soon after I have sorted this issue! :D

I am applying for ILR using Set(O) on 5 year Tier 2 General route. I have had 3 employers with the following employment dates:

1st Employer: Aug 2013 - June 2014
2nd Employer: July 2014 - May 2016
3rd employer: June 2016 - current.

My leave to remain in the UK under tier 2 has been continuous (i.e. I did a direct switch of sponsor before any tier 2 expiry). Between leaving each job and starting the next, I have left the UK for a short holiday.

I have provided a letter from each employer listing the annual leave taken from each employment, which are in line with the dates I have listed for leaving the UK. The only issue is the travel I have had between jobs. The letters from the employers show the start and end dates of employment, which I see as sufficient proof - but perhaps not in the eyes of the UK home office.

Can someone please provide some guidance on what are acceptable types of alternative proof? I have made a list of all leave with the appropriate stamps and which pages in the passport each stamp is in. In some cases I have provided flight tickets (e.g. some stamps are dated in arabic so not sufficient proof). Are two pieces of evidence required for each period of leave?

Thank you.
