Passport for Child

Hi All

I’m an Indian national, recently received my ILR. My wife is a Chinese national. Obviously both countries do not allow dual passport. My daughter was born nearly 4 years ago. And at the time I applied for her DL without passport and got it. And for the passport both India and Chinese are reluctant to issue one. This issue was highlighted and acknowledged by the Judge in my recent Court case with Home Office as well.

Now my question really is if I still need to apply for naturalisation for my daughter even though she never held any other passport and possibly could not apply for one yet.

There is no requirement for a UK born child to have a passport to REGISTER on form MN1 as British.

Where did I suggest that was possible in my response??

Children are REGISTERED as British NOT naturalised (which is only for adults).

Your child is not British so therefore cannot apply directly for a British passport. This has nothing to do with the fact that the child has no foreign passport.

I realise this is a free and interactive board, where confused people come for advise. The way CR001 is behaving is totally unacceptable. No one is forcing her to response and that too in rude manner. Obviously she can ignore things that doesn't suit her temperament. No need for attitude.
