In Need of assistance- Residency Requirement for British Citizenship

Post by KalemisK » Thu Feb 21, 2019 4:46 pm

Hi Everyone

I have been granted the indefinite leave to remain under the EU settlement scheme last week and i intend to apply for the British citizenship next year. I have completed my undergraduate studies in the UK and i have been continuously living in the country as prescribed.

Nonetheless, i cannot remember all the days that i have been absent from the UK in the past 5 years.

My question is, how will i know which days i was absent and in what way can i include it in the application itself ?

Thank you for your time in advance.

You must have some way of remembering the days you were away? You don't keep any records, or a calendar, or use Outlook calendar? If absolutely necessary, estimate the approximate day/month/year and number of days. The application has a section where you need to list the data. You can also attach a note or letter explaining the issue.

Thanks for your response. I can remember roughly but not exactly, no way it is possible. Is there a way that the home office can help me find out the dates i have been absent ? I mean do they keep a record of exits and entries for each individual ?

Please keep all your questions in one topic. Also not necessary to start a second duplicate topic asking the same question asked earlier today.
