Lost My BRP Card

Post by Amaravathy » Thu Mar 07, 2019 1:17 pm

Hi All,

I am living in uk with PR card since 6 December 2016. I lost my brp card at home, i am searching for the past 2 days, no clue where I have lost, not able to find, tried all nook and corners.

I am eligible to apply for British passport . My husband is a main candidate, I am a dependent.

Can I apply for British passport directly or do i need to get replacement for my PR card & then apply for British passport.

Thanks

Only a British citizen can apply for a British passport. You are not a British citizen yet. You need to apply to naturalise as British.

There is no such thing as 'dependent' for British citizenship applications. Each person applying must meet the requirements on their own.

Have you looked in purses and handbags, jackets, under sofa etc.?

You appear to have ILR under the UK immigration rules and NOT the EEA/EU route PR.

Do you have your letter from when you got ILR?
