is it possbile to work using Indian Spouse visa ?

I am having indian Spouse visa and my wife is working in German - Frankfurt and she is having workpermit.

Is it possbile to work using that spouse visa in Franfurt - Germany ? or
What is the proceudure to change the spouse visa to work permit ?

Please suggest me the link of all these visa details..

Please give the Job site link.. I need to find the IT jobs in Frankfurt..
Please help me on this.. Waiting for your reply.......

I think I read here that you would need your own work permit to work in Germany, married or not.

Go to your local Auslanderbehorde - they should know.

The more helpful way being is to post an answer to a question rather than suggesting hot links as answer!

The reason being, OP could be behind a firewall/content filtering policies and those linked websites may not be accesible at the same time as immigration boards. It may defeat the whole purpose of coming here, also, giving answers improves the readabilty of the forum a lot.

Of course, if someone decides to challenge your posts, you could always furnish the links.. :D

Hi,

You can apply for your work permit with the local authorities. There is a cooling period before which you are not supposed to start working in Germany after your arrival in Germany.
