Tier 2 Dependant - Unmarried partner.

Hi all,

My workplace has applied for a certificate of sponsorship under a tier 2 visa. My unmarried partner wants to apply as a dependant. We have been together for over 7 years but the problem is we can only prove we've lived together for the past year and a half. We had a joint bank account back home which I'm hoping might help our case.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation and have their unmarried partner accepted as their dependant? If so what documents need to be supplied?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think they are pretty set on the minimum 2 years cohabitation.
