Advice re Proof of Agricultural Income received in cash

Post by qmtarer » Wed Jun 12, 2019 10:37 am

Hello all,

I unsuccessfully applied for a 5-year visit visa last month. I intend to apply again because I really want to meet my daughter and grandchildren. The reasons for refusal were:

1. You state that you are unemployed but have a regular allowance and income of *********** a year and have savings of £12,000. In support, you submitted personal statements from******** Bank (account ending ****), covering the period 01/05/2018 to 30/04/2019 with a closing balance of *********. From the documents provided the origins of these funds are unclear. Whilst you state this is from a family allowance from your husband and sons in the absence of satisfactory documentation, I am unclear how your their income is generated and I am not satisfied that your circumstances are as you have indicated.

2. In support of your application you have submitted various land and property documents. Whilst I have considered that the land documents may show evidence of land held, they do not show what income, if any, you personally receive from it or how many people are reliant upon this land for support.

As far as reason no.1 is concerned, I think I should be able to remove this objection by submitting the bank statements and salary slips of my husband and sons, along with their affidavits to substantiate that they provide me a monthly allowance.

It is the second objection that is more problematic for me. While I do hold land and I do receive agricultural income on that landholding, it is all cash-based (which is pretty much the norm in Pakistan since the agricultural sector is quite informal). How can I satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer regarding this? The fact is that I have more than enough in my account to support my trip, but the funds were accumulated over a long period of time. The source of the funds is the leftover allowance from my family (which I used to deposit erratically so there is little to no consistency of deposits in my account) and surplus agricultural income (which, like I said, was in cash). In fact, surpluses of agricultural income have been quite rare for me in recent times and so there are virtually no deposits in my statement since the last 2 years.

My question therefore is this: what sort of document(s) should I attach with my application to prove my circumstances? Re Objection 1 do you people reckon that the bank statements, salary slips and affidavits of my husband and sons will suffice? Re Objection 2 how can I substantiate the fact that the land held in my name generates agricultural income in the form of cash (most of which is spent by my family, with the surplus, if any, being deposited in my account)? Thanks in advance!
