Hello,
I am going to be applying for citizenship. I have just received my ILR via the 5 year spousal route.
I am going through the boards here - and slightly confused about the process of application. I do not want to submit my passport as I will want to be able to travel while my citizenship application is going through. I've seen older posts that mention that if you apply through NCS you do not need to submit your original passport and you can apply for your British passport at the same time. This is clearly the option i would like to take. However I cannot find how you apply with a paper application through the NCS. On the home office website I can only see the online application option.
1. Can anyone direct me to how you apply through the NCS? (i've even googled it - and it takes me to the government website).
2. If you can only apply online - do I still need to submit my passport?
Also - we are in the midst of selling our property. We are looking to exchange at the end of August and complete in September. In terms of my permanent address - as of right now can I put down my address as our house and put the mailing address to my sister in law's house as the home to receive correspondence? We have gotten a good price for our house and are looking to purchase a new one post Brexit, so come September we will be renting (unsure where though).
Many thanks in advance for your responses.
