Natulisation and Universal Credit (Benefits)

Post by Naveed997 » Tue Aug 27, 2019 9:01 pm

Good Evening All,

thanks in advance for the guidance .

I have few points to be clear .

I am non EU national holding a PR. In September/October i will be applying for my Naturalisatioon. My wife is a dual national Eu and British National ( Citizenship APPROVED but she hasn't applied the British passport yet) i have one daughter she is a dual national as well EU & British.

My wife is unemployed because she is looking after my daughter ( 20 months old) & I am a full time employee working 40 hours a week and planing to apply for UNIVERSAL Credit ( Benefits). Can i apply on my name or my wife's name but she is not working . OR shall we apply together?Am i entitle for benefits?

If i apply and approved for the UNIVERSAL Credit will this going to effect on my application ?

Or shall i wait until i revive my Naturalisation approved?

Thanks.

People with settled status can claim benefits. This should not have any effect on your application
