18 year old Son

Post by silverocks » Thu Aug 22, 2019 4:50 pm

Hi All... My son is going to be 18 year next May 2020 and he can apply for his naturalization next June 2020 as he has ILR now and both parents also has ILR. He has done his GCSE here and in college now.

I know that he has to apply on AN form and need LITUK test but does he need to do B1 English test as well?
He has GCSE certificate, is it not enough?

Thanks to all for their contribution to this forum.

He needs the HO approved English B1 test. GCSEs is not sufficient.

The test costs £50 and he can go without any preparation. It's just a 10-minute chat and that's it.

The English test is £150 not £50. LIUK is £50.

Agreed!

I paid for both recently for my wife and got confused. LIUK is £50 and the English test is more expensive at £150.

Sorry for that.
