Applying for British Citizenship with an expired South-African passport

Post by JG1989 » Sat Sep 28, 2019 12:03 pm

Hi there,

Has anyone here applied for UK naturalisation with an expired passport before? My South-African passport expired on Sep 2019. I have read on the uk.gov website that when one applies for citizenship their passport must be 'valid' and to me, that means 'in date'. I would appreciate some help. Thank you

Yes many have. You would need to submit evidence of residence from the date it expired.
