Hello all
I recently discovered that stay on visitor visa can also be counted towards 10y lawful residence. Below are my visa/dates would be very useful to know if as per below I will qualify for 10y lawful residence on 31st Oct 2019?
Visitor Visa 1 Validity from 23-Oct-09 to 23-Apr-10
Entry Stamp 31 oct 2009
Exit 13 nov 2009
Visitor Visa 2 Validity from 24-Apr-10 to 24-Oct-10
Entry Stamp 28 mar 2010
Exit 7 May 2010
Tier 2 ICT Established staff issued on 3 Aug 2010 (currently after extensions valid until sep 20)
I have checked and my absences from UK have been less than 540 days (including the absence of 134 days and 91 days during visit visas above)
Please can someone confirm that 180 days rule for 10 years is 180 days at a time and not 180 days in any 12 month window?
Many thanks

Correct. No
Continuous periods of absence for more than 6 months AND max 540 days in total outside the UK over 10 years
Apply at the end of Sep 2019

Sorry to bump up this old thread, just realized I also have visits to UK in 2008 so should I be entering that date when asked for first entry to UK in application or the visit in 2009 (from which I will be calculating my 10years)

Hello,
I have applied for SET (LR) ILR on UKVI and booked a biometric appointment with UKVCAS for next week Saturday.
On UKVCAS there is no list of mandatory documents for me , but UKVI did have a list of required documents on my application which is limited to
- letters over last 2 years for cohabitation
- identity documents (BRP for my wife and children)
- my passports
Questions
- do I need to scan all my passports from first page to the last and upload?
- even though the list of documents in my application doesnt have Life in UK test certificate or NARIC english language certificate mentioned should I still upload them? does it matter which section on UKVCAS I upload them?
- for wife and children identity are BRP scans enough (please note only I am the applicant...wife is on her own Tier 2 general and the children are her dependent)
Thanks

None of this is required
You only need your passports covering 10 years, LIUK, English requirement.
You should have selected and ticked the boxes in the form for liuk and English requirement.

There is a question about LIUK and English in the online form. Not sure why you did not get it. But regardless you should upload both as its mandatory.

You need to scan all the pages in the passport. A member was contacted by home office to provide the full passport as he only scanned the entry/exit stamped pages.
