Points for Spouse

Post by ptr » Sat Apr 02, 2005 11:22 am

Hi All,

I am in doubt because the guidelines says that we have to prove we've been living together for 2 years. My husband and I just got married 1 year ago, and haven't been living together before our marriage. Does this mean that I cannot claim 10 points for spouse? Both of us are working at graduate level.

Thank's for any info.

Yes. It means you can't claim points for your spouse. You have to have either been married or have been living together in a relationship akin to marriage for two full years to get the points.

You can still bring your spouse with you when you immigrate to the UK. You just don't get points towards the HSMP approval.
