No it is not possible.My question is, is it possible by any chance to use the fact that he lived in the UK as a facilitator for me to go there ?

I should have been clearer. Not unless (he naturalised as a British citizen while he was in the UK AND you were born afterwards) OR (you were born in the UK before 1983).
