3. Letter from bank confi rming funds and that they
have been in the bank for at least three months: The
letter from a bank or building society should show:
• the applicant’s name;
• the account number;
• the date of the letter;
• the fi nancial institution’s name and logo;
• the funds held in the applicant’s account; and
• that the funds of £2,800 or £800 have been in the
bank for at least three months and the balance has
always been at least £2,800 or £800, as appropriate
We will not accept letters which simply show the
balance in the account on a particular day as these
documents do not demonstrate that applicants hold
suffi cient funds for the full period required.
So, you may have to show relevant documents for the same. Search the forum for source of funds..you should get some infoApplicants must provide documentary evidence detailing the source of any funds that have entered their account(s) within
the last 3 months, for example fixed deposits, receipts and/or legal documents relating to the sale of assets. Any amount
taken as loan must be available in the bank.
i have maintained about 4 lacks INR (~4700 GBP)in my account for more than 3 months. I could have taken 51000 INR(600 GBP) out of it to pay for the Tier1 fee. But i thought of maintaining this balance of 4700 GBP and arrange for fee from somewhere else. so i asked a friend to lend me 35K for 3-4 days, but by mistake he transferred it into my account in which i was maintaining balance just 1 day back taking my balance to about 435000 INR (~5100 GBP).asthra wrote:According to my mail communication with BHC -So, you may have to show relevant documents for the same. but i did not see any such requirement in any guidance, also a few ppl in this hv got visa stamped without any accommodation and job proofs. is it really mandatory ?
also can anyone please clear my doubt regarding the 35K transaction i mentioned. can i return it to my friend without showing any proofs.
vnvijay wrote:As per my experience hotel books is required. As advised earlier request you to call the VFS to more information. They would also tell you the same. Hotel bookings is free of cost until you occupy u will not be charged.
With regard to the 35k, I personally think transfer him the money back this should not be a concern for you I believe.

I think i'll transfer the money back to my friend.
Also it would be great if you can give me some pointers on how to make a hotel booking.
Also let say i mention my probable date of travel as 6 weeks from my date of appl and do not get the stamping with these 6 weeks then can i cancel the booking.
Or can i give the date of travel 3 months from the date of appl, but if so is there any chance of my appl getting delayed. I am concerned as i might have to travel somewhere else before going to UK.
