Do We Qualify For A Family Visa?

Hi there,

My girlfriend who is from Brazil will be applying for a visa to come and live with here with me, we are planning to get married here in the UK, Or Brazil if it helps our situation with the visa.

Were thinking of applying for the family visa which would mean we have to get married within the first 6 months if i read it correctly.

When we apply in October would of been dating for 1 year and 2 months, I have visited her in Brazil 2 times, November 2020 and July 2021, She is currently living with me now and will be going back to Brazil in Feb, she flew back with me back in December when I visited her.

She will have a a degree in business admin at the point of applying and I earn 27K a year so I think that should cover the financial requirements after reading through the document on the link above.

My question is, Is there anybody out there with experience or has done this before who can tell me if im applying for the right visa based on our circumstances?

Any help would be much appreciated as its a little confusing with the duration of the visa as we are engaged at the moment and not sure what length of visa we are entitled to apply for.

What you described above will be for fiancée visa I.e. she comes to UK and you get married within 6 months and switch to spouse visa. Fiancee visa duration is for 6 months.
