Hi,abu sidrah wrote: ↑Fri May 20, 2022 8:45 pmHi everyone. I am new on here and it seems that this medium and forum is very helpful. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to give me some help and guidance, who are in a similar situation to me and has preferably recently completed the FLR online and has had a successful application.
I am British born and bred. I brought my wife over on spouse visa to UK in 2019. We have a baby daughter born in 2020 in UK and is British by birth and via me.
My wife is completing the FLR form online and we are slightly confused in some of the Q's and they seem like trick Q's. We would be very grateful for some advice and ideally some model/sample answers that anyone has used in their successful applications. I would also be very glad to help in any way I can. I successfully completed her 1st application by myself without a solicitor and I am Government caseworker with extensive experience in case working.
1st Question I would like help with is:
1) Provide details of the role you take in (Child's Name) upbringing including details of your parental responsibility ?
2) If you left the UK, do you and your children have family or friends in the country you would return to ?
Earlier in the application i mentioned my wife has some family, but this Q seems if we say yes, they will reject our application, so I want to say No as they can't return anywhere as my daughter and my wife are now my family and no one else can support them back in any country. Any advise ?
3) Are there any factors which would make it difficult or impossible for you to integrate and establish a private life in that country ?
4)Please explain why you and your partner cannot live together outside the UK
I really would appreciate any help, thanks.

1st Question I would like help with is:
1) Provide details of the role you take in (Child's Name) upbringing including details of your parental responsibility ?This is a general question. Your daughter is British and isn't subject to any immigrational requirements. Just say you're the parent!
2) If you left the UK, do you and your children have family or friends in the country you would return to ? Not a trick question either, just say yes. It has no bearing on her application. Family life is protected in the UK.
Earlier in the application i mentioned my wife has some family, but this Q seems if we say yes, they will reject our application, so I want to say No as they can't return anywhere as my daughter and my wife are now my family and no one else can support them back in any country. Any advise ?Why would you want to change your story now.
3) Are there any factors which would make it difficult or impossible for you to integrate and establish a private life in that country ? You have a child now and your child would find it hard to move away from her home.
4)Please explain why you and your partner cannot live together outside the UKYou both now live and work here Child is establishing life here. Just say it as it is. This Questions aren't going to cause you trouble.
I really would appreciate any help, thanks.

I think this all could be explained in a cover letter and where these questions are asked just write please see cover letter.
I could be wrong , seniors and moderators can expalin it in better way.
Regards,
A
[I think the point of these questions on the form are so that there isn't a mountain of information in a cover letter, but thanks for your reply.

[hi there. Thank you for your responses, I really appreciate the input. Regarding the question of wood we have any family or friends to return to, the reason I wanted to say no it's because my wife and child would not be able to return to her family on the basis that no one can support them apart from myself. Therefore, I do not see that as changing the story. Can you advise from any experiences, thank you.]
