Yes I know if a lot of people that applied in Feb/23 and have already received an approval and order to pay for the €950 fee today. It's not right with people that have been waiting since 2021 with no feedback from them.handoubleu wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 7:13 pmIn another forum I follow there is a reported influx of January and February 2023 applications receiving approval/request to pay the €950 already. The amount of 2023 applicants that have received approval is so large that the forum is discussing whether or not to contact the DOJ or media to get clarification as to why applications from 2020, 2021, 2022 are left in limbo while 2023 applications are literally receiving approval in months.
There is a bit of speculation ie theories trying to find rhyme and/or reason as to why this is happening, but does anyone on this forum have any idea if something has changed in the office that is now allowing 2023 applications to be, essentially, expedited?

I am advised by the Citizenship Division of my Department that for the years 2021 & 2022 there were 29,156 applications received. 5,931 of these have been naturalised leaving a balance of 23,225 applications currently being processed. Up to 19 May, 5,665 applications have been registered in 2023. Our expectation is that applicants from across 2021-23 will be amongst those invited to citizenship ceremonies over the course of 2023. My Department intends to communicate with all applicants on a quarterly basis to provide regular updates on progress in this regard.
I hope all the 2021 to 2023 applications are naturalised this yeargurnaam21 wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 5:01 amApparently minister has admitted cases are not being processed in chronological order

My recommendation to all 2021 applicants at least is to go for judicial review because that's the only thing that actually works. TDs are theirs (as in FG, FG) so no point writing to them, media is in their pockets, social media is just noise. Spend a little bit of money and get your mental peace back; GO FOR JUDICIAL REVIEW. It scares the shit out of them!!
Yes and I am so drained!!! Applied Feb 2021; evetting disclosure done in Dec 2022.nzrmd wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 1:09 pmgrateful2020 wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 12:01 pmHope is really not working anymore.
