My mrs worked in BT full time till Feb 2023 and now started full time another job in june , my question is can we use full year employment of with the gap of 3 months , or I have taken last financial year (april 2022 to march 2023) more than £55,000 and need to file tax return , which I am hoping will be at least £35,000 after the reduction of running cost . My Mrs visa expire in sep 2023 and she already completed 5 years in May 2023 (on five years route) . so I need help to answer which is best way to fulfill financial requirements either her on salaried based income with the three months gaps or using my own self employed income but i also read the self employed income is more complicated away to apply and can be refused. any experience or tips will be appreciated

There is an official guide on financial requirements: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... .0-ext.pdf

Self-employment income (category F or G):
You must be registered already as self-employed with HMRC and can rely on your latest self-assessment submitted to the HMRC. For example, if you want to apply now, you must provide the latest self-assessment which is for April 2022-23.

Employment less than 6 months with the current employer (Catagory B):
She must satisfy the requirement in two parts
1) Her current annualised income is above the threshold (£18,600+)
So salary earned divided by the period in which it was earned, then multiplied by 12 must be above (£18,600+)
AND
2) In the last 12 months, she has earned in total, at least the min salary needed (£18,600+)
Advice is given based on my personal research and experience only. Do NOT contact me via private message for immigration advice
