First entry to UK after Tier 1 visa stamping

Post by sureshep » Fri Jan 02, 2009 11:35 am

Hi All,

Got Tier 1 visa stamped on 18th Dec and start date is Dec 18th 2008 to Dec 18th 2011.

I am very much worried about first initial entry to UK and their terms since I am not aware exactly. What is the exact timeline to enter UK at the first time ?

I am worried, since market is not that much good enough to start job hunt. What happens if we will not enter within 6 months ? Will immigration officers in UK airports restrict my entry if I land after six months ?

And what if I will not land atleast once in UK within the 3 years ? Will I have an option to make an extension of visa after 3 years from within India itselfs ?

Appreciate your valuable inputs and time. Any guidance or help would be of greatfully help.

Regards,
Suresh

You worried about the first entry or NOT making the initial entry?

No issues with that. You can enter as long as your VISA is valid

If that had been the case people would have become Citizens of UK sitting there in their own countries :) . Please try to understand that you need to satisfy some conditions before you can be granted an extension under Tier-1. Go through the guidelines please.

I liked what you said push_hsmp, on becoming citizens sitting in their own country :D

Of course one will have to prove that they are in an active job along with other parameters before they can be granted extensions!!

I have similar question. My wife got Tier1 dependent visa. She willing to come UK after 4 months.
That will be OK or there any time line to enter in UK?

Thanks
