Student visa will finish on 27 jan2025.can i travel ans come back on 7th jan?

One of my friend have a question.He completed his master degree and want to travel in december and will come back on 7th jan to apply for his PSW.will there be any issue when he will come back at the airport?As he will have just 20 days left on his visa.will they allow him to enter uk on the basis of 20 days visa or they will refuse his entry.Please suggest.Thanks
