Indian passport Surrender: facilities at VFS Goswell?

I'm planning to visit VFS Goswell for passport surrender. I will be traveling from a different city. I read that they donot allow backpacks or gadgets inside. I have a backpack and Tablet pc along with my documents.

Is there any locker facilities in or around VFS Goswell? How do people from outside London manage this?

Please, anyone with VFS Goswell experience can answer this? It is really difficult traveling a long distance carrying only a plastic bag with documents.

Also, in the checklist there is a "VFS Declaration", what is this document? I have not seen it anywhere on the VFS website.

Please help.

Answering my own question for others benefit: Yes, VFS Goswell allowed me to take in my backpack. There was no security check.

Really, this is annoying, VFS should have communicated this better instead of confusing us with that page on restrictions.

Also they asked for some signed declaration form, there is a link to that in this forum somewhere.
