Ireland Visa

Post by Genius88Dub » Mon Dec 30, 2024 10:36 pm

I hope this hasn't been asked before, but I need some advice. I’m an Irish citizen working full-time with a stable income and own my home in Dublin. My partner is from Morocco, and we’re planning for him to visit me in April on a tourist visa.

I’m preparing to write an invitation letter confirming that I’ll cover all his expenses, including the visa application, flights, and accommodation. Additionally, two of my Irish family friends are willing to provide support letters.

However, I’m feeling a bit anxious and unsure if I should involve an immigration consultant to assist with the process. Is it worth it?

To note, my partner is not currently working, and I’m financially supporting him.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

That might be a rather challenging situation to get a visa in.
From an immigration officer's point of view, your partner is going to you, not a relative (I assume you're not married yet), sponsored by you and being dependant on you. What is there in Morocco to come back to?

I personally don't think it should be done - I've seen a lot of stories online when consultants completely mess up the documents. You'd better off doing it yourself, as long as you know what you're doing.
Not a qualified immigration adviser. Use links and references given to gain confirmation and/or extra information.

Thanks, @meself2, for your input.

I've decided to apply for a visit visa for my partner since we’re not married yet. The question, "What is there in Morocco for him to come to?" has been on my mind. However, in my invitation letter, I’ve mentioned that he will return to his family, where he is taking care of his mother. I also decided not to use a solicitor and to complete the application ourselves, with of course my help.
