Visa long sejour for spouse of French national

Post by kamoe » Thu Feb 20, 2025 3:10 pm

Has anyone recently applied for a French spouse visa in London? If so, could you tell me if a digital version of the marriage certificate copy (copie intégrale) is accepted, or if they absolutely need to see originals?

We got married in Scotland, and as per procedure, we had our marriage certificate transcribed by the French authorities at the time. That was a year ago and I have an original of that transcription. Now, all their processes demand recent copies, and there is a process to get these, but they only provided me with a digital PDF, not an original document. Just wondering if this is going to be an issue.

Any first-hand experience much appreciated.

Answering my own question here: I only supplied the pdf copy, there was no issue, visa granted.
