citizenship 2024_2 emails at same time suggesting opposite

I have received 2 email from citizenship at exactly same time.

1 says the application has been 'accepted for processing' and will be submitted for review

second one says it has been declined. The declined email quotes a different application reference (probably a new system) but then just last week I had an email from them asking for more information which quoted my old reference number.

Whats happening anyone has any idea ?

Also, when you get rejected I believe you get a formal email and not just email with empty body and just 1 attachment?

I hope its not mixup of two applications
