Thanks very much. Can I say 'No' to the question 'Does the referee have a British Passport' ?CR001 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 12, 2025 1:12 pm1. Your friend is talking nonsense. You are NOT claiming citizenship through a parent and do NOT havr to upload all tbeir documents. Their details are irrelevant and have no bearing on your application. Please, do yourself a favour and stop listening to friends etc. The official guidance is clear on the requirments and documents.
2. ILR and citizesnship are two completely different processs and rules. IlR is ILR. You are overthinking.
3. You only need one referee that is British and over 25, preferably with a valid passport. The professional referee can be any nationality.
Thanks a lot for sharing this with me. Feeling more confident now.

You need two referees that meet two different requirements.
