Renewing permanent residence card in Ireland

Post by Obie » Tue Oct 14, 2025 4:33 pm

Has anyone renewed their permanent Residence card in Ireland after 10 years?

Were you asked to fill form EU3 again, and asked to provide your EU National's details, or was it automatically renewed.

Just out of interest, as I do not know Ireland's policy as relates to permanent Residence card renewal.

You just submit a renewal application online with a copy of the current IRP, EU Family member’s passport (if applicable), and the original permission letter.

Interesting to know, because someone said you have to fill up the EU 3 form all over again, which will not be right, as the directive said it must be automatically renewed.
