Dependent Visa self assessment penalty

Post by Rambo1234 » Sun Jan 04, 2026 4:31 pm

Hello I am applying for dependent Skilled worker visa extension. My wife has already received her visa as a skilled worker. I have recently received late self assessment penalty £100 which I have paid. No tax due just late assessment fine. Hmrc customer services said that they might send another penalty after full calculations.

My question is do I need to declare this in my visa application? If yes then how do I declare as there is no option for civil penalty and I believe this is a civil penalty and not fixed penalty. Do I need to select ‘yes’ option under fixed penalty if there is no other suitable options?

I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Regards
