Visitor visa query

Post by Youngk » Tue Feb 17, 2026 3:19 pm

Hello all
Good afternoon

My husband want to invite our family friend to UK for visit for 2 weeks. He will be going back after 2 weeks. Now this family friend is not getting regular salary . So we will be sponsoring his trip.
My Husband intend to send him the copy of the following documents to support his application:

Payslips
letter of invitation
Our mortgage document (in our Joint name)
His British passport

My question
1) can I also support his application by providing the copy of my payslips and bank statements although my husband is the one inviting him

2) Do we need to transfer money to his account (His ticket money and money for his expenses) so that HO will be sure that we are sponsoring him.
Thank you your response will be highly appreciated

An invite from one of you is enough. He can just write in the invitation letter that you (his Mrs) is in full employment with XXXX.
Now don't transfer any money to him! That's a guarantee of visa failure. Try what you have with your account here (Statement of account 6 months) and with whatever he has over there and hope for the best. It doesn't look good, but miracles do happen.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
