Travel outside of uk after naturalisation application - 90 day rule

Post by The_Boss » Tue Mar 31, 2026 12:56 pm

Hi all,

I am writing this to know form experts and experienced individuals regarding "travel outside of the UK after the submission of biometrics" for my naturalization application.

Currently I have 85 days outside of the UK in the last 12 months at the time of biometrics submission, which is today. Can I now travel outside of the UK for more than 5 days without adversely effecting my naturalization application ?

Appreciate it to know if anyone has been in a similar situation and what has been the corresponding outcome ?

Thank you in advance for your advice in this matter.

Regards,

You are free to travel after your application and those days will not be taken into account. Only absences up to application date are in scope.

It’s nothing unusual or to worry about.
