Hello Admin,
Could you please guide me with the below data when is the eraliest date I can apply ILR and get it approived using the 5 day priority application. The ILR fees are chaging from 8th April 2026. Is it possible to apply before this date and get the ILR approved?
Applied for Visa from Outside UK on 12/04/2021.
Visa approved descion letter recevied dated on 21st April 2021. & it says Your application for a UK visa has been successful .This means that when you arrive in the UK you will have permission to be in the UK (known as Leave to Enter) as SKILLED WORKER from 16/05/21 to 14/6/24.
BRP issue date 03/05/2021
Visa Vignette sticker on Passport valid from: 16-May-2021 to 14-Aug-2021

Your earliest date of ILR eligibility is 03/05/2021 + 5 years - 28 days
You can apply early as it has been advised many times before
All you need to know about applying early, the application date, 28-day concession and more

Hi Zimba
The first visa granted date is 21 April can't we use that?
Also this statement in the decision letter
This means that when you arrive in the UK you will have permission to be in the UK (known as Leave to Enter) as SKILLED WORKER from 16/05/21 to 14/6/24.
If my permission to be in the UK is from 16/05/21 then how can I use a date before that to calculate the continuous period as I am not legally allowed to be in the UK before that date right?

Your visa was issued on 03/05/2021 (as per your BRP) and you probably got a vignette to enter the UK issued from 16/05/21. That does not change original grant date

hi Zimba,
Thank you for your response.
From SARU I can see the visa was approved on 22 April 2021.
Also this below statement in the decision letter which I received from UKVI in 2021
"This means that when you arrive in the UK you will have permission to be in the UK (known as Leave to Enter) as SKILLED WORKER from 16/05/21 to 14/6/24"
The above statement says I am permitted to enter UK only from 16 May 2021 right then how can we use a date before that for ILR continuous period calculation?
Also I have applied from outside UK does it change the calculation of continuous period from grant date to the valid from date? I can see most of the solicitors or immigration lawyers are recommending the valid from date instead of the visa approval date.

Again, the initial visa grant date is all that matters. They did not issue a BRP outside the UK, they had to issue you a visa sticker with a later date. That does NOT change the original grant date. The fact that you applied from outside the UK is irrelevant

Hi Zimba
Thank you for the update. So can we use 22nd April 2021 as this is the the outcome/issue date of the Skilled Worker Visa application.
Could you also give a calrification on the below stetement from the decision letter?
"This means that when you arrive in the UK you will have permission to be in the UK (known as Leave to Enter) as SKILLED WORKER from 16/05/21 to 14/6/24".
I am confused on ''You will have permisson to be in the UK from 16/05/2021''

Hi Zimba ,
Thank You.
The main applicant is applying separately . We did not see any documents to add as the address proof on her application.I can only see to add the bank statement, which have the address.
1.Do we need to upload any other document as address proof for the last 2 year for her?
2.If we need add any is it ok to add documents under the main applicant name only or joint?
3.If there are any joint documents, do the dependant partner need to sign on the second page of the consent letter for the main applicant application?

Hi Zimba ,
Thank You.
On my dependant application which I am applying separatly with kids can see below two in Other documents
1.Declaration signed by Miss <Main Skilled worker Name> to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks
2.Consent form for the Home Office to request verification checks on Miss <Main Skilled worker Name> for joint accounts or third party support
On that application I am the main applicant but they haven't requested for any consent letter to sign from me.
What I thought was on our ILR application the Consent Part 1 need to sign by me & part 2 by the main Skilled worker .Please correct if this is wrong?

I am the dependant of the Skileld worker & on my application I didnt see my name on the consent letter for any signing.Only see my spouse name , who is the main visa holder who is going to submit the ILR her application separately.
But on my ILR application I can see below which is not in my name
1.Declaration signed by Miss <Main Skilled worker Name> to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks
2.Consent form for the Home Office to request verification checks on Miss <Main Skilled worker Name> for joint accounts or third party support

Hi Zimba,
The dependants applied separatly and our biometric date is on 16th April. The main Skilled worker ILR is approved now.Do we need to add the ILR approval emial of the Main visa holder on our ILR document list? And for childrens do we need to upload the share code of their evisa status?

No. You do not need to send the UKVI any data given to you, by UKVI itself
