Skilled worker visa extension - No public fund claim evidence requested

Post by shanti4723 » Tue Apr 21, 2026 7:39 pm

Hi experts,

I have applied for a skilled worker visa extension under the health and care visa. After submission, it did not ask for any documents. But, I have just got an email asking to confirm if I have received any public funds, and if so, confirm the dates these benefits stopped or if they are still ongoing. I have stated in the application that I have not claimed any benefit/public fund.

For context, my husband has an ILR status, and he has used his account to use the 30-hour child care for working parents for our 3-year-old son aPlease kindly suggest, why did the home office now ask for the new evidence? Most importantly, what shall we put into the evidence which is due in 10 days?t his nursery and pre-school. My details were used during that application. We believe we are eligible to claim the free childcare as one parent is settled, and we meet other work and salary criteria. I have no other relevant public funds and benefits-related claims.

Please, could anyone help how to respond to this and what evidence we should compile for this? The email says we have 10 days to respond.

Sorry, in the original question, the sentence got jumbled up as I had an error while posting it. Hope the following is clear.

For context, my husband has an ILR status, and he has used his account to use the 30-hour child care for working parents for our 3-year-old son at his nursery and pre-school. My details were used during that application. We believe we are eligible to claim the free childcare as one parent is settled, and we meet other work and salary criteria. I have no other relevant public funds and benefits-related claims.

Please kindly suggest, why did the home office now ask for the new evidence? Most importantly, what shall we put into the evidence which is due in 10 days?

We have also called Universal Credit today to see if they can provide any letter, but they cannot, as I do not have an account with them.

Appreciate any suggestion. Thank you.
