Thank you for your reply. I was wondering if it will be appropriate instead of including my children as dependents in my spouse's visa application, I apply for them as Indefinite leave to Enter? Will need some suggestions on that please.secret.simon wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2026 8:09 amWere the children born before or after the date on your naturalisation certificate?
If after the date of your naturalisation certificate,
- they are British citizens by descent and can apply for a British passport.
If before the date of your naturalisation certificate,
= As stated by CR001, the children will follow the same immigration pathway as the second/less-privileged parent, will need to apply for ILR with the second parent and then will be eligible to register as British citizens, at least as per the current rules.
The government has suggested that the rules on ILR and citizenship may be tightened and therefore their route may vary.
It won't.
You can't. They will flow the same visa route and ILR after years as your spouse.
