Congratulations! This means you have been approved.

It does happen that there is a delay in receiving the email from the Home Office. I would suggest getting in touch with the council to explain you don't have the official email yet andif this causes an issue.

Congrats!

The council will only send an invite if they have received your naturalisation certificate, which is the absolute proof you will be a British citizen once the registrar has signed.

As said, there's normally a delay in receiving the Home Office email - this email is only advisory. There have been cases where that email was never received but person was admitted to the ceremony, because they have to give you the certificate, after the oath.

But do contact the council, just in case.

Thank you both, I have got email from "Home Office Atlas" today, and I am targeting (if council can accommodate) for Premium ceremony sometime this week and post that I will apply for British Passport and will post here for any query with regards to passport application.

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the guidance and support you all selfless members provided throughout my citizenship process. Your prompt responses, clear explanations made a complex journey much easier to navigate. Yours kindness and sheer knowledge have made a meaningful difference, and I am deeply thankful for your help. Thank you all once again for your support.

Due to unforeseen reason council has cancelled my private appointment, and next available is my regular one (10 June 2026), therefore i might take time to ask query on passport. Thanks

You will always find the forum here. Do you have any queries/anxieties about the passport application process? Have you made travel plans for the summer?

The passport application is a relatively straightforward application. Not a re-run of naturalisation, as you’ll be British when you apply. And faster. There’ll always be something that may not be clear or is confusing . Ask questions in this thread if you need to.
