Hi I need information regarding NARIC letter of comparability and Career path report. I have two questions:
1. Will NARIC UK letter of comparabiity is sufficient for English proof?
2. Is it necessary to have Career Path Report as well along with Letter of comparibility from NARIC?
3. IELTS is mendatory for Tier-1 General VISA category?

Kindly provide quick response. I will be highly obliged.

YES

I am not sure, but I dont think so

NO, if you degree was taught in English and your Degree & University is recognized by SELF ASSESMENT TOOL then you do not require IETLS. If your degree & University is NOT recognized in SELF ASSESMENT TOOL then you might have to look for other options like NARIC cert or IELTS.

Thanks for the information. Well I am an Indian citizen and I am waiting for my credential approval from NARIC UK and I hope I will get positive response. So that means I can go for UK Tier-1 Visa without IELTS if NARIC UK provide me letter of comparability. But I am still confused in case of Career Path Report Is that necessary along with letter of comparability or not?

If you answer my query I will be highly obliged.

Rest of the things like Age(27), Qualification(Engineer), Funds etc are all sufficient and as far as points are concern I score 95+10+10 on point based system.

My university name has been renamed to "Acharya Nagarjuna University" from "Nagarjuna University".

All my graduation docs hold old name but the Medium certificate holds the new name.

1. Will it create any problem?

2. The self-assesment tool has both the names listed as

Nagarjuna University(to 2004)
Acharya Nagarjuna University

So which one should i mention in the application form

Get a letter from the University stating their NAME CHANGE to "Acharya Nagarjuna University" from "Nagarjuna University" and the Date when it happened. They should be able to provide with some proof that they changed their name like newspaper post, Notice etc.

On the contrary Medium of instruction letter is not required if your University is listed in Self Assesment tool, looks like that is true in your case, so I guess you should not submit that as a supporting proof for English requirement as your Degree Certificate is enough to get the required 10 points for English Language section, if you submit it then its going to create more confusion, this is my personal view, please dont quote me for this

OLD UNIVERSITY NAME i.e. Nagarjuna University (2004)

I have couple of questions for you:

Is your degree listed in Self Assesment tool or not? And does the Self Assesment tool awards you the 10 points for English Lang section?

If not then yes you require some other supporting doc like a NARIC cert, IETLS etc.

Does the Self Assesment tool awards you the 10 points for English Lang section? if Yes then Yes you can provide your degree cert as a proof for English lang section

Yes my University is listed in self assesment. But for the safer side I took NARIC UK Letter of comparability as a proof for english. Now you may suggest if its enough for the proof so that I can move ahead for the process. Again if its possible to confirm from somewhere that Career path report is required with Letter of comparability or not.

As i told earlier i do not have much info about Career path report, so really cannt comment on it.

Yes my University is listed in self assesment.

Then No need for any other proof apart from degree certificate as per Tier 1 PBS guidance.
