Could you please help me get out of this dilemma.
I am currently on WP and applying for my tier-1 (got an appointment for in-person application in june). My current leave to remain expire in first week of july and I am pretty confident that I will get my tier-1 stamped as all the papers etc are in place.
I am looking for a UK based position for a company, having presence in India also. I have two options
1. become a UK based employee for the company's UK subsidiery.
2. join as an India employee and come to UK on deputation.
Due to certain reasons, they are reluctant to give me a UK based employment, so I may have to join them as an India employee and come to UK.
Now, I am not clear if I get the option 2 only (India based employment) then can I actually work in UK on my tier-1 visa or the employer will have to essentially apply for a new WP for me ? in that case, wil my tier-1 be still valid later (if I want to look for any other options in UK, once the economy improves
you may ask me, why I don't let them apply a new WP and forget about tier-1 for now, if I am going to join them as India employee, but the issue is that I am actively looking for other UK based options as well and if something clicks, then I will need my tier-1 (though not much luck so far). Getting an in-person appointment is not easy so I don't want to let my appointment go for waste if I can use my tier-1 for India based employment also.
If this question has already been answered, kindly point me to the posts, I have unable to find any authentic info/personal experiences about the same so far.
Kindly suggest.

Vaibhav
