Is your degree recognised by AICTE as equivalent to Masters?npanglia wrote:I got PGDBM awarded by (symbiosis) institute which has been compared by NARIC as British PG Diploma.
I am really still not convinced since Full time PGDBM is awarded by most of the premier institute is not recognized as master. However say any xyz university where the level of teaching & curriculum is not upto the international level, but because it grants degree NARIC recognize it as Master degree.
NARIC seem to be discounting lot of factors while evaluation and doesnt stand upto the mark.
Getting admission in top 20 B Schools of India is not a cake walk and everyone recognize its importance including corporates, MNC's. It certainly bound frustation as well as questions of credibility on lot of Tier 1 B Schools which grants PGDBM/PGDBA. Partially can be seen for PGDBM recognized as Masters Degree for IIM, XLRI but not for other good B schools like TAPAI, IMT, SCMHRD, SP JAIN, Narsee etc
I think NARIC needs to be approached collectively to logically evaluate the qualification on curriculum etc rather than mere title.
Let me know your thoughts and suggestions.
The recognition/accredition and equivalency of the University & course should be from AICTE for Technical and Management streams. For such courses NARIC interacts with AICTEnpanglia wrote:My degree is now under symbiosis International University which came into formation in 2006. Unfortubately I did my masters before 2006. Its is accredited by NAAC & AIU as well.
Suggest you write to or call NARIC with evidence and they may change their comparison decision.npanglia wrote:The Masters from SIBM which is also under symbiosis International university is considered equivalent to British Master Degree, while my institute SIIB is also under university now. Similar programmes and curriculum, same university, but different comparison. The courses is however approved by AICTE.
This difference raise lot of questions on the assessment & comparison by NARIC?
Any suggestions!
