Salary cheques

Post by middletier 1 » Sun Nov 01, 2009 10:22 am

Hi all,

i have a query on my salary earnings, actually i have 12 months paylips along with 9 months bank statements. for initial 3 months i got paid through cheque only, thus can i apply with 12 months pay slips, 9months bank statements and company letter stating about the 3 months by cheqye

since they need from two sources thus the 3 months period how to manage
any ideas how to apply in this case

thanks in advance

If you were paid by cheques, you will have that transactions in bank statement too(ofcourse description might be differet). You can use 12 months payslips + Bank statememt along with employer letter stating initial 3 months were paid by cheque. You can download employer letter template from below link:

Hi Chetanojha,

Thanks indeed for your prompt reply, actually for my initial 3 months period i have no bank account since my workpermit visa process was going on at the time in Saudi arabia, that is why they have issued the cheques and i have encashed the cheques in the bank. from 4 month onwards i have opened an account thus i have all the statements for the rest of the 9 months

when i have encashed the cheque i didn't get any receipt also, thus please guide me ...........

You need to provide two corroborative evidences (from two different sources) to prove your earnings. Unless you have Bank statement showing amount deposited in your account, it will be difficult to prove your earnings. Do you not get enough points with your 9 months salary(payslips+statement)? If you can wait i would recommend waiting further 3 months till you have all evidences or you will be taking risk by applying.

I assume that first 3 months paid trough checks in yr UK bank account

WHEN PAYE started that 3 months are considered for PAYE purpose

if yes, than emplyers letter with all break up (gross, net , NI and Tax ) and bank statement , u will be fine

if not than u can treat that 3 months as self employed income and u need it to get certified from accountant

U need
1 Accounts- PL & BS
2. Income certificate for that 3 months
3. Sales summary (Services provided to yr employer as self employed)
