Query on dependant application

Hi

I got my tier 1 today from VFS delhi , while applying I had mentioned that my dependants will not be travelling with me. However, i want to apply for the now. I need help on the following

1) How soon can i apply for my dependant ( Wife and Kid)

2) Need help on the following questions in VAF 10
7.13 - If the main applicant is living in the UK what permission do they have to stay there?
My answer: Applicant is in India and has a Tier 1 general visa

7.14 - What job or course of study is the main applicant doing in the UK
My answer : Applicant is in India

7.18 When did/will the main applicants job or course of study begin?
My answer : I will leave it blank

7.19 When is the job or course of study expected t finish?
My answer : I will leave it blank

As per rules and ur application you mentioned they wont travel with u in the next 12months
BUT most of us do the same.. first apply for us.. see if we succeed and then apply for dependents.. Because we have a BIG reason saying circumstances changed and my dependents needs to join me and nobody is there to takecare and "I think" HO/BHC understands this and also they get more funds in the form of Fee's (Pls note: this is just my opinion and understanding - not stated anywhere)

So i think you can go and apply when u are ready to do so..

or wait for more responses.. Your answers are OK for the Q's

Just a note Delhi BHC is taking more time to process the applications.

People r queing for paying fees , even if they double fees today itself

take care of fund ( good bank balance , not as per guideline as u r not have a job offer and recession is going on because a child invovled ) , and accomdation as u r going to apply for a child and ECis very sensitive in child visa PROCESSING , fund and proper accomodation and child parental documention r very important to considered

Do i need to give an explanation in the cover letter as to why I had said no earlier with regards to dependants travelling with me

U R not required by law and lengthing covering letter is not always favourable to applicant.

You dont need to give the explanation (lengthly) but when you apply for ur dependents you will attach a sponser letter from you to the assessing officer in that you will briefly write that since they are ur dependents and they need to join me.. your case is not unique.. everybody put these wordings in the sponser letter while applying for dependetns..
