Clarification reqd on HSMP extension under Tier 1, Pls help

Hi All,

I came to UK on WP and quit my job after 11 months, After quitting and within 28 days (grace period I suppose) I have got my HSMP stamped.

Now I am applying for HSMP extension under Tier 1(have everything in place), Will my stay after WPUK and before HSMP visa of any trouble for my extension now?

Please advise.

No. You have received your HSMP within grace period(28 days). You will be fine. Make sure you preserve all evidence of applying for HSMP(postal receipts, letter from HO, date HO received your application,acknowledge etc). This will help at the time of your ILR to provide your continuity.

Yesterday my HR received a call from UKBA, they enquired about my salary for particular three months (may be because, my salary was never the same because of overtime incomes, bonus, rewards, then I had a promotion, the salary increased from June etc).

I am very concerned now, even after me clarifying everything in the covering letter and attaching every evidence, UKBA made a call to my employer.

Has this happened to anyone? what was the outcome in those cases?

HO will not ask whether you have got promotion or not. All HO check is whether you have received the GROSS/NET amount which you have showed in payslips + bank statement. If your figures are correct in payslips, obviously your company HR will state the same things. So I don't think you have anything to worry about. Did your HR told you, what info HO needed in verification call?

Sorry for the delay. Got my Visa today.

HO asked about my role and net salary for particular 3 months. My application along with 2 dependants reached HO on 19th Oct, money taken on the same day. Got my visa today 11th Nov.
